Do You Want Video Games in TBA Meetings?

Sailor Shokotan uses Magical Wii Love Power! Those of you who have attended Tampa Bay Anime meetings regularly will remember a few times that we've had video games to watch and play. Most recently, Guitar Hero III on my PlayStation 2. We've seen demos, videos, and gameplay from some PC games. We used the Wii to try out our brand new AV equipment last year, during our Holiday Extravaganza. We've relived the olden days of video gaming by showing games some of us may have missed.

Some of you may also remember that I've tried using my XBox 360 to play videos, as an alternative to lugging my huge computer to and from meetings. Well I abandoned that plan, but recent developments may make the 360 a more common part of our meetings. Having a game console in the meeting all the time could mean that we see and play more games at our meetings. Is this a good thing?

I want to know what you guys think about this. Go to this short new article to read about it, then comment and vote in the poll to tell us what you think of the idea.

TBA's Holiday Extravaganza 2007

Well, we've held the last meeting for the year. Now, all that's left to do is party!

Tampa Bay Anime's 2007 Holiday Extravaganza is fast approaching! Everyone is invited to come to Kobé Japanese Steakhouse to join us for food, fun, and - most importantly - presents! This event is a favorite of many of our long-time members because it gives us all a chance to hang out, chat, get to know each other and exchange presents all with a good meal.

Get all the details and let us know if you're coming here, in this forum thread!

Holiday Schedule

Happy Holidays!
The holiday season is upon us once again! Everybody has plans for getting together with family and friends over the next couple of months. Tampa Bay Anime takes a break around this time, to let people enjoy the holidays however they want. This year, we'll be skipping two regularly scheduled meetings.

THERE WILL BE NO MEETINGS ON THESE DATES
  • November 24
  • December 22
We're also making plans for our annual Holiday Extravaganza! This is a party we hold around the holiday season where we exchange gifts and TBA gives some lucky otaku some special prizes. It's a more upscale event that gives us the opportunity to live it up just a little bit among friends. We're still looking for a good place to hold the event. If you have any ideas, visit this thread to tell us about it.
